transload and transportation
PTI has performed
many projects from which to draw experience. The
most notable project was the transportation of logs
from trees killed in Arizona's Rodeo-Chediski
forest fire in 2003. 3,120 rail cars of logs were
transported via unit trains from Arizona to
Northern California over the span of 4 months.
Assets utilized included over 500 log rail cars,
two log yards, 4 log shovels and 3 988 log loaders.
Paneltech hired and managed all the employees
necessary to set up many of the log cars, and once
operations started, to unload the log trucks, stack
the logs, and load the railcars.
