PTI Forest Products By Rail - About Us Located in Hoquiam, Washington, PTI Forest Products by Rail (PTI) was started in 1996 to serve the forest products industry with various products and services. PTI's managers collectively have over 100 years of experience in the forest products industry. PTI's mission is to help its customers transport forest products by rail. The focus is primarily sub-leasing cars for wood logs transportation but other products or services may be included where a customer needs assistance and our assets suit the need. For example, PTI transloads and ships cedar shingles from Hoquiam, Washington to various destinations on the East Coast. In another recent example, PTI equipped customer cars with log bunks. In addition to management, PTI's staff includes 5 long time employees with extensive experience fitting and loading cars, tracing cars, working with shortlines and class 1 railroads.
